Receiving Brothers, Sisters, and More

by Jonathan & Lynne Zavodney • Oct 7, 2024

Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who leaves a house or brothers or sisters or a mother or a father or children or fields for my sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he might receive one hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, with persecution—and in the coming age, life everlasting. ” ~ Mark 10:29–30

Greetings in Jesus, dear brothers and sisters.

We are so thankful for your faithfulness to pray for us! Our first three weeks have been a little bumpy, though it has had some unexpected and significant graces of God.

On the bumpy side, we discovered mold in our apartment shortly after getting all our stuff settled. We’ve been out of the house while the remediation was being done and are moving back in today.

Amidst the hardship, we have received so much grace from Sovereign Joy Baptist Church. This church planted a week after we arrived, and they have loved us so faithfully and sacrificially through the hardship. One of the pastors graciously opened up his home for us to stay in for the last week while our apartment was being remediated. Truly did Jesus say that the Christian gains so much family when choosing to follow Him, and we are so thankful.

As we continue getting settled, please pray:
(1) That God would help us get everything settled and in order before Baby comes;
(2) That God would grant us peace as we trust in His providence in the large and small things in our lives;
(3) That God would provide the rest of our monthly support (So far, He’s provided 60% of our monthly needs!)

Grace and peace to you in Jesus!
Jonathan, Lynne & Baby

p.s. In our eager anticipation of Baby Z’s arrival, we got some maternity photos done by Lynne’s sister (Jackie Hubbard Photography) and wanted to share a few with you! We hope you enjoy them (:
