The Z’s to Cameroon, Africa

In August 2022, Lynne and I had the joy of journeying to Cameroon, Africa to strengthen and encourage the work and ministry of Dieudonne Tamfu and his family. He currently pastors one of the only gospel-preaching churches in Yaoundé, the capital of 2.7M. He also leads a Bethlehem Seminary extension campus, seeking to train pastors for more churches. In God’s kindness, we were able to strengthen the work through biblical counseling courses; I was able to serve in the Seminary, and Lynne was able to teach piano lessons.

Our trip was bookended by the gathering: One of the first and last activities was to worship with our brothers and sisters in Cameroon. Our time with our Cameroonian siblings gave us much joy as we treasured the same Christ together on these Sundays and as we spent time together outside the gathering, always longing for our Messiah to return. May our Messiah be pleased to open many doors for the word in a capital anemic for desperate want of the gospel, a capital otherwise saturated with the prosperity gospel.
